Lambda Wars (formerly Half-Life 2: Wars) brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a multiplayer real-time strategy setting. The Lambda Wars beta only requires Alien Swarm installed to play. It features 3 multiplayer game modes: Sandbox, Annihilation and Overrun, showcasing the Rebels and Combine playable factions and a full-fledged RTS interface and HUD. There is also a singleplayer tutorial and a handful of singleplayer missions.

I have two questions since I'm extremely hyped out about this mod,

When this hits steam will we be able to use the workshop to download content (Maps, Skins, Sounds, ETc.)

and with the addition of the source 2 with a 3D map maker (Similar to Starcrafts and Age of Empires) will we be able to make maps using this method or is a source 2 port even possible?

Thanks Great Game and I'm seriously stoked about the steam release, keep up the good work!

We plan on adding support for workshop, but it won't be at release (or we need to delay it even further).

The DOTA 2 alpha workshop map editor uses a different map format, so I d oubt it's possible. But if they do make a proper Source 2 SDK port, we will likely move over for many reasons.

Will this game eventually include an ingame world/scenario creator? (Similar to the AOE 2 system)

I started a small ingame editor for just stuff we need a while ago:

We might expand it later with more options.
