Report RSS Infantry of the Russian Empire

A first look at the Russian troops featured in the mod.

'Lo,

Today we show off the Russian faction for the first time, specifically the basic line Musketeers and Grenadiers.

In 1809, the Russian Empire was waging war on two fronts; against Sweden for control of Finland, and against the Ottoman Empire as part of a centuries old series of wars between the two empires. Although technically allied to France, no one in Russia seriously expected the mock alliance to last and it of course did not. In spite of these threats and more or less constant warfare, Russia still managed to maintain an army of some of the best (though unquestionably the worst lead) soldiers in Europe, the infantry in particular.

Here you'll see the meat of Russia's battle line --- Musketeers and Grenadiers, the former superior shots the latter better in hand-to-hand. Both the summer and winter coats are shown. They'll switch uniforms at the correct time of the year.

This is all for now. Expect more from the mod soon, and remember to show your support by watching the mod.

Thanks.

The uniforms are the same as those in Napoleon total war or some of Napoleonic wars multiplayer mod although these are all historically accurate as games look the same in terms of skins as they all want their work to be as historically accurate as possible but a lot of time has been spent in making the different factions etc so I am impressed with the quality of this mod so far. thumbs up xD!

They're not quite the same. Napoleon Total Wars and Warband's Napoleonic Wars use 1812 shakos.
