Kingdoms Grand Campaign Mod Version 4.3 Standalone
This mod has been around for some time, and it's quite a good mod, which is why I think it's such a shame that a lot of people aren't getting it due to the massive headache that installing it is. This file will (hopefully) solve that problem. The process is still long - it's still a pretty massive file, but it's a lot more simple now. You do not need to install any of the other patches.

Setup & Installation
- Download the file "KGCM_Download.zip" from ModDB.
- Extract the .zip folder anywhere. (this may also take a bit of time)
- Open the extracted folder, then move the folder "kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\" - assuming you're using the steam version. Otherwise just put it inside your mod folder for Medieval II.
- Use the "medieval2_kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod.bat" to run the mod
[IF YOUR MOD DOES NOT START:]
90% of the time you just got an error message that say you could not find a valid kingdoms.exe application, which is fine, this is easily fixable. Here's how:
- Find your Medieval2.exe application, copy it and paste it in the same folder.
- Rename your copied "Medieval2(1).exe" to "Kingdoms.exe".
- Now it should work.

Hey! I really love what you are doing here. Everything looks great, exept for when you are fighting a battle. then there is just a white line where the units should be. other than that the mod is perfect! if this is fixed, i will probably play this more than vanilla
I am getting the same issue as above poster mentioned. My Battle UI is "bugged"; white blocks where the unit cards are and same for minimap.
I'm not a dev for this mod, but could you send me a screenshot of exactly what's going on? I'll take a look at it and I'll see if I can fix it.
its because the battle.sd.xml file is missing from data/ui
Is there a known fix for the issue? I am having the same exact issue. While the mod is still quite playable, using fancier things like special abilities and units formations is quite a bit trickier now.
can you take some of the files so you get the new factions in campaign but you dont need to create a whole new folder in the mods folder
There's no way to just insert a faction into the game with a folder if that's what you're thinking. Adding a single faction to the base medieval 2 game would be quite a long process, though the files necessary for this are in this mod.
some files are corrupted definitely ui is messed up, battle ui, blank white space insteed i played long time ago this mod not a single issue at all, now links for old download method not workong i appreciate your effort but this is unplayable

Great mod! Can you add another file, it had one famous submod - Heroes Hordes & beyond [KGCMv4.2] - and can you add more factions like Sweden, Georgia, Serbia, and others?

Update on the missing battle.sd.xml file:
The file was missing in the data/ui folder as you are aware by now. I tried to 'borrow' the file from another mod and the issue seems to have been resolved. The mod I borrowed the file from was Europe Ancient (the Rome TW port mod). Everything seems to work just fine. I am not sure if any battle.sd.xml file will do but for me the issue was resolved by doing a simply copypaste from another mod's folder. Hope this helps other people, too. ^^
