Here’s another treat for all you Kingdoms Collide fans: an overview of the different character models and some in-game footage of the magic system in use. Since Kingdoms doesn’t work on a traditional class-based system, the team had to find a way to visually display what kind of loadout you would be playing with. Depending on the equipment and abilites you choose to enhance your character’s appearance changes to reflect those strengths, and weaknesses, to others in the game.

This one deals with all the fire elemental spells you’ll be able to choose from. Each spell element has been made to serve a different tactical purpose; the fire group is focused mainly on increasing a player’s ability to hurt and damage (whereas the Ice spells are more useful for supporting teammates, you’ll see more of this later). Enjoy.

This remains to be the most amazing looking Source mod I've ever seen. Keep up the great work!
Awesome!
omg! that fire stuff looks epic!
Looks really nice, the effects are amazing.
dude just checked the original article. Assasin = badass mothaf***er :D
EPIC! Fire circle ftw
My sword is bigger than yours!
wow amazing
This is the first I've heard of this mod, but it looks pretty interesting!
Its almost here, I can't wait any longer
That was absolutely amazing, great job guys.
Hell yea
As always, you guys never cease to amaze when it comes to content - The renders are incredible, I get jealous of the source engine over things like this.
These videos will serve well to hype up the upcoming release, I certainly can't wait to see the other magics - My favorite part of this movie though, has to be the few seconds of look we got on the skill selection system .. A++
Final comment: Everytime I see one of your vids, I can't help but wonder; Will you have mercy on us and create a 'wave' gamemode, where the players have to defend places from wave after wave? I would just, so much, love to see co-op like that, being a natural part of this.
Kudos for a fantastic and ambitious game concept well imagined and realised. I hope it works out for you all - the praise you've received is deserved.
As an aside, the colour palette and design direction of the Kingdoms Collide reminds of me Rackham's Confrontation war game line. Was that an inspiration at all?
Nice vid. I was sceptic about the melee system, but it finally looks amazing.
the melee system is tricky at first but... its dam good fun once you start getting it down. Right-Click raises the shield. Left-Click and in a direction does different melee attacks. i think with some. they have tuts on their forums now. go check'em out ^^
Awsome guys !!
that looks really cool!
Very well made video
Amazing Possibly the best mod i seen yet in source.
yeah i agree this IS THE BEST! Source mod i have gotten... ever! for its genre its just wicked!
Looks epic, keen to try :)
outstanding!
Would definitely try this if I had HL2.
lol please add bots or atlest tell me how to add by console
Yes, they have Basic AI ingame. you add the AI by bringing the console down and typing "bot_add" they are working on making them better among other kewl things ^^
why not on u3 engine?
Because that wasn't nearly as open back when this started and they know their way around the HL2 engine .. People tend to forget that learning an entire new engine can take massive loads of time O_o
i don't feel very comfortable with the fire magic stuffs.
they look like some kind of invisible guns.
Looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait. Just a few questions though:
1. Are the characters persistent or do you level them up every game, and then when you start a new game the character is deleted and you start again?
2. Will this be available on Desura when it is released?
you lvl up per game and it resets after each round. i am trying to get them to atleast add lvl tracking. you may not get anything but bragging rights really. doing it like i mentioned on their site but it would give incentive to keep playing i think. BTW they are adding Achievements soon ^^
holy crap...
Yep, i bout soiled myself when i got to play this mod. its got to be one of the top 3 mods i have ever played! i recommend this to everyone! get this mod ASAP!
I smell Indie-potential.
I really like where your going with this. Sounds like the kind of game I'd buy ;)
yeah, if this was a stand-alone game i would buy it in a heartbeat! i'd pay $50usd easily for it. this reason alone i would suggest them moving to the UDK if the source engine cant do what they want. but, they use the OB-Source engine. it allows for capes and more.
Now this looks Wicked! so all i need is HL2 right?
so... its that day ^^ has been for about 5 hours. wheres the DL link guys? we are waiting.
Why did the new patch that was just released today get deleted by ModDB? we NEED that patch!
