Great mod idea. 2 things I thought of from watching the vid:

Jumping around like a fool is something that can work out in Jedi Academy. In a "real" fighiting game though, SF, etc. it is readily and easily punished and should result in losing in a matter of seconds. I'd edit this if you can so that if you hit someone jumping around they are knocked back/down at least.

Also, I suggest removing the "Jedi Fight II" splash screen and changing it to something else. Obviously you are playing off SF2's logo screen, but this is your first game, not second, and it overall looks kind of hokey.

Looks nice otherwise, will be trying out Beta 3 in when it comes out.

Thanks for your feedback!

I got a lot of feedback about the jumping so will try to come up with something to make it cleaner. People have suggested a stamina that runs out (which is already there by way of the force meter, but it doesn't inhibit jumping altogether when it gets low) but I don't really agree with that. Recall that in Street Fighter 2 you could jump all you wanted without any limitations... Until you got hit. So your idea about being knocked down or back seems to be the obvious choice.

I'm also going to look into hit stuns, which someone on reddit mentioned. I think it's done to an exaggerated effect in modern games, so I'll need to find a balance.

Regarding the splash screen... This actually is Jedi Fighter 2, technically. I made Jedi Fighter 1 for Jedi Knight II over a week back in 2001-ish for a presentation on mod making I gave at QuakeCon. I ported it to Jedi Academy when the SDK was first released because the Jedi Academy humaniid skeleton had more animations. I'll probably keep it because this whole thing is hokey :)
