So far I have been working on mods the last... four months (Perhaps less) and I have created three mods. In my last mod (Danish Viking Units) I challenged myself with starting working on 3D models and texturing. Now after that mod is done I wanted to start a big project which I decided to be Iron Hill Dwarves from the movie The Hobbit 3: Battle of the five armies. To you guys who just LOVE the Tolkien Universe or just LOVE The Hobbit I am sorry, but this mod is not going to be 100% accurate at all. This mod is going to cotain some models and textures that I have created and thought would look cool (This means that weapons) I have done some research when it comes to Iron Hill Dwarves gear. Some of it easy to find and some of it... Impossible. (Which means I have created the model 100% without anything) The armor parts is going to be as accurate as possible.

The three pictures shows the armor with texture... And as you guys can see the texture is well not as HD as the one of the other pictures where I showed the armor with texture.
As I have explained in a comment the armor texture is bugging unless I do it like this. This means I don't really know how to fix them or if they are able to be fixed. Normally the textures are 512x512 I had to stretch these out to 1080x1080. That is huge when its textures. I could try to keep stretching, but could end up as waste of time and just ruin the armor even more.

So I would like to say sorry for not being able to deliver what I hoped to be able to deliver. I hoped and really tried to give nice models with some nice textures. Perhaps this Dwarven mod was a bit to extreme for someone who just started doing 3D modeling and texturing.

I really don't know what to say other then sorry...

Don't worry just keep playing around and continuing work. Maybe sometime you'll find a fix or a more experienced modder will jump out of the long grass and give ya some tips.

Thanks mate. Trust me I have been in contact with a lot of people who have made mods and models. Also a few textures. One of them have also helped me a lot with learning all the 3ds Max stuff.

So the texture was 512x512 and you had to stretch it to 1080x1080.
or is it the other way around?

Normal textures are 512x512 I tried to make it look better by stretching it to 1080x1080. Because as 512x512 it looked more than terrible.

Looks fine to me, honestly not a lot of people are going to be zooming in while playing massive battles with the dwarves lol

Thanks. :)
I know, but you when you have spend so much time on a project you want it to be perfect. (Or close to perfect)
And I think if this was something I just made so I could play I wouldn't mind it, but this is more meant for you guys, so I kinda just wanted it to be better.

You could just use armor from tw medieval 2, maybe use knight armor and then re-texture it to make it look more like dwarf armor.

Well to be honest I have no idea how I should do that... Also one of the big important things with this mod (for me) was that I should have created it with 3D modeling. Like creating it from scratch.

But I can see how that would most likely give the units an armor that might look more armorish*
So I do appreciate the idea, but I think I just keep either trying or just make my decision and start moving on to the other units in the mod.
