Iris is a prototype that only exists to demonstrate a specific game concept. There hasn't been a lot of optimization and polishing, so please be gentle :) What is this game? The game is an adventure game in which you control a woman in a world where something is totally wrong. Our heroine has a special ability that allows her to jump back to her childhood. In order to solve the main mystery you will have to explore this special ability to solve a number of puzzles. Why create this game? There was a time when adventure games ruled the PC market. As computer hardware was improved more action-oriented games were released and today the amount of new adventure games on the market is extremely low. This genre has brought lots and lots of hours of fun to almost everyone playing PC games in the 1990's and we find it unlikely that the current generation of gamers is so different from our generation that they won't get fascinated by an adventure game that doesn't have the 'action'...

Description

Iris Prototype 1.0 Setup: This game is a Half-Life 2 modification. That means that Steam and Half-Life 2 must be preinstalled for this game to run. Steam is free but Half-Life 2 is not. Both can be acquired online through This game is a prototype which means that it is merely a demonstration of: - Gameplay concept - Control scheme - Graphical style - Story universe The single level in this prototype is from deep within the overall story arc, so don't get confused if you stumble across aparent incoherencies. Controls: - wasd-keys (move) - mouse movement (cursor) - mouse button 1 (interact) - hold mouse buttons 1 or 2 (turns mouse movement into different look modes) - space (jump) - j-key (jump between 2006 and 2024) You can lock either mouse button by holding that button and clicking the other button once. You unlock the button by re-clicking. Contact: Producer Tom Mortensen at tomsweb.dk Enjoy

to fix this game just change the ID from 220 to 215

steampipe is not needed ;)

there are a few older mods like this, especially 3rd person mods built with older versions of source, that don't work correctly with newer versions of source, even with steampipe added

P.S. Anyone know how to fix this so you can click the clickable options, mouse is forced into look mode and text boxes move with it, making options impossible to select, so still unplayable
