Happy 2011 to all, thanks to everyone that has shown an interest in our mod. We have added a number of new team members, 3 weapon modelers are now a part of our team, two of them also bring mapping and texture skills. We also have some other mappers and a texture artist. The mod is moving forward, the busy holiday season took a big chunk out of my time as I expect it did for everyone, work and family and all of the other things that make a life is the priority of our team members just like anyone, but the mod plods forward and after a break for the season, we are back at it, plugging away.

An interesting and highly useful tool is called MIKOGO Mikogo.com , it is a peer-to-peer desktop viewer, similar to TeamViewer although MIKOGO I find is much smoother and the view is clearer, this is good for working through mapping problems or for expressing advanced concepts in conjunction with the Ventrilo service we have. I highly recommend that mod team members, especially mappers take advantage of this free tool, it may become indispensable as the mod's body of work grows in size.

Mod Members are reminded that all content made for the mod remains their property however the mod team is granted "first-use license" by the creator and therefore we ask that models or other media not be given out to anyone not directly associated with the mod nor that such material should be posted anywhere without prior consent from the mod administrator.

For the present, we are working toward finishing the weapons load-out for the German and U.S. teams, with the Soviet faction's weapons not far behind.

Map WIPs include Liberation de Chenonceau, Omaha Landing, Juno Beach, Kursk Blitz, Stalingrad Ruins and Berlin Untergang.

The team is looking flush for mappers but we still need some modellers at the moment, hopefully we can land another weapon modeler or two and speed along the process of creating the huge arsenal of faction specific weapons we require to really make this mod sing.

BOTs is a whole nother pickle. Interestingly enough, you can paint a nav mesh in DoDs. It just doesn't actually do anything. We will have a look at something like that after we have something worth humans playing.
