  • Wood texture for weapons is changed;
  • Menus renaming;
  • Desert Eagle retexture;
  • Almost clean magazine for AR;
  • Full auto for AR;
  • Camouflaged weapon parts retexture;
  • Slight corrections in tutorial texts;
  • Rate of fire and range tweaks;
  • Dragunov: damage & recoil power increase and firerate decrease;
  • Mercenary equipment rebalance (yes, again), based on real prices and rarity;
  • Disposable Springfield M1903A4 (due to incorrect clip load);
  • Sawed Off retexture;
  • Another camouflage texture for Pneu Dart;
  • DLC weapon's varied distribution for weapon shop's armory all over FC2 world;
  • Zooming while aiming disabled for Iron Sights weapons;
  • Durability of all weapons were greatly increased;
  • Recoil recovery times slightly tweaked for better response;
  • Stamina and running time have been increased;
  • No weapon respawn in armory;
  • SPAS-12 black retexture;
  • Buddies use more weapons (Ithaca 37, SPAS-12 -> Ithaca 37, SPAS-12, Mossberg, USAS-12; sometimes Golden AK-47);
  • Ithaca 37 shot's impulse power fixed, pellets number changed: 135(N4)->87(N2) with lower damage;
  • Bottom limit of mouse sensitivity is lower now (0.8 -> 0.5);
  • Opening sequence and tutorial(tiny) cut;
  • Bullet's momentum based on mass and muzzle velocity (now you will not move big tires with pistol shot);
  • Bullet's damage based on kinetic power, bullet's length, human's and bullet's average density (now enemy can take some shots from Makarov PM in chest, more in legs or hands, but not in head);
  • Ballistics for rockets, grenade launchers and bolts;
  • Grenade's explosion effect for mortar shell;
  • Removed impact effects for darts;
  • For hardcore players: Iron Mode version (pause menu disabled, quit command using console)
    • Tutorial is edited for it. So you can start a new game safely; just beware bug with watches and cellphone;

This mod really makes FC2 perfect.

Anyway, did you have time to look into this bug regarding the jackal tapes playing incorrect? All tapes from the second map repeat the tape about the kid stealing boots. You probably know what I mean. Maybe you can fix this annoying bug with this mod too!

Thanks a lot for your work, FC2 is obviously my favorite in the series by far, and thanks to this awesome mod I'm discovering it again, even though I've completed the game numerous times. Since 2008 there has always been a moment when I ended up thinking "I need to go through this game again". The last time was a couple days ago... I can see I'm not the only one, and I'm amazed to see that that such work is still being put into the game.

I'm loving this hardcore playstyle, one-shot-kills for everyone, the orientation challenge... Some compass (not the game GPS) would be welcome I must say, to go with the realistic map. But currently I'm using the Sun's position as a way of finding east/west, and it works approximately fine.

Anyway, having a great time with it all! So please keep it up, the combination of all these mods and the extras make FC2 better and more enjoyable than ever. Thanks!

I agree. Please, enabled compass (gps), quicksave (is useful when game sometimes crash to desktop) and mark safehause on the map, because this is a more realistic imho.

ok thats not my languae, but i will try to provide some humble criticism. sorry if it sounds rude.

in vanilla i had an ak47 and fired a burst on an enemy at Point blank. then i turned around walked up that car...and died because that enemy still lived and shot me. now some bullets can actually kill enemys. love that!

others already said that a compass would be useful if possible.

is there any way the Player can use a one handed gun in a car? reloading disables car control of course.

how should that work? how can the Player refill the armory?

is there any way to place some generic roaming civilians in the game? for example the streets around the City or mikes inn are pretty empty.

now the Player can carry a very finite number of bullets. that makes sense. but does it make sense to limit the Default Limit to 1 lousy Magazine + the one inside the gun? i have no clue of guns and stuff, but when my life depends on it im sure i have some space left in my jacket or in my belt.

is it possible to place objects in the game? on the way from mikes to the City there is a spot where the road is damaged. could you fix that? yeah ist realistic that the road is not like a Highway but after you crossed that spot 7356 times it gets annoying.

u changed the weapon classes (secondary Primary Special). in my opinion that was the only Thing that was better in the vanilla game. assault rifles and machineguns now are Primary weapons. regarding the low recoil of the machineguns the assault rifles are quite obsoleten now. oh and i have to choose between that rpg Thing and a sawed off shotgun. because they both belong in the Special Slot now. must say that really annoys me. it seems that the Player has now much less freedom.

i play that game for the first time now. still not know if i should do it vanilla or modded. normal mode is too easy because of the Players super high health. vanilla on highest difficulty is hard but in a wrong way. for example npcs that have ridiculously high health. but this mod should do the trick, thanks for that!

but i will try to find out how to get the weapon classes back to vanilla. it like playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and have a weight Limit of 25 pounds for me.

There is not yet ways to import new objects, especially usable ones, into the game. So for a moment no compass support, no new (not reworked ones) guns or gadgets, no cars and so on. Please make XBG, HKX, XBM export/import plugin or software to make that happen.

It is not a Far Cry 3 or 4. Not a Dunia Engine version 2. This just reworked almost from zero brand new Dunia Engine. And maybe there is some exploits to execute, but it needs time and straight arms.

Armory resupplies when you transit to another map sector (your map list will change on it's borders).

There is a way full of pain as it seems for me now. And I'm no specialist in that. Ask Jackal.

Actually you are having 2 or more guns constantly. So you have 2 pockets in your shorts or whatever. 1 will be used for one gun's magazine, another pocket - for second's. Although, you will keep some tools like wrench, molotovs, grenades, watch, map lists, journal, markers, telephone and so on.

Nobody is stepped this far. I just looked into this, but I'm not familiar with mapping in Ubisoft provided Map Editor. I make assumptions that this is possible. But, actually, you're not a robot and you can drive over this thing, not just driving straight to your destination.

You're in another country where is war going on and guard posts located to control population. About what freedom you are talking about?
Shotguns is specials for now, because it is close quarters gun and not used in most situations. Pistol is a backup gun. Primary guns are most used. Explosive weapons are also mostly used in special cases.

I hate S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s inventory system. It is just horrible. I'm looking more for Insurgency's inventory system. But for Shadows of Chernobyl there is a mod called "Жесть", that fixes most of unrealistic arcade things. Stalkermod.ru

If this mod is still being worked on, I think maybe disabling the GPS for Iron Man only would be fair since there is no way to put a compass in.

Also as others said, being able to mark safe houses would be nice.

Other than that, amazing work, I can't wait to play some more, always great to be able to revisit FC2 again with some new and interesting mods. I was a huge fan of Dylands mod, but yours is shaping up to be great if not better.

Hi, I have just started playing Far Cry 2 - and decided to play through the game using this Mod. Well, ten minutes into the game and I'm finding this is extremely difficult with these “one shot, one kills”. So I’m up for the challenge as this mod looks really interesting and enticing. But I am wondering if I start the game at a "lower" difficultly level instead of the “infamous” setting would that help? What other ideas might there be?

P.S. Also agree with the compass suggestion but sounds like that's a touch request to accommodate based on the author's reply.
