Since your maps are so dark, you may want to consider adding advanced per-pixel shadders to your ship textures.
Yes, the mod includes Cnlpepper's advanced shaders. It's just that the shaders don't react well when I play other mods, so I keep them disabled. I simply forgot to reactivate them when I recorded the video.
Also, as another person suggested, there's a possibility I'll be adding a very small amount of ambient lighting to the maps so that you can see things a bit better.
