I want to thank all the people that played the first Illusions of the Dead. All the great ratings, playthrough video's and comments have inspired me to create yet another custom story. I know I have to step up my game and will try to create a custom story that will surpass the first one :)
This mod is in early development and will not be rushed!
This mod will be a sequel to the first Illusions of the Dead.

Hi everyone,
Recently I've gotten an itch. My unfinished project called Illusions of the Dead 2. The last update has been a couple of years ago. But the project was never cancelled. It's still alive!
- New Inspiration
Three months ago, with new idea's and inspiration I started working on the project again. Most of this inspriration came from AI (artificial intelligence). Illusions of the Dead 2 is fully voice acted. But my old voice from 5 years ago just doesn't sound as good as AI voice acting. Which is one of the important changes I've made in the past few months. Don't worry, the voices sound super natural and are a great fit for the project ;)
- A total of 4 chapters
The project will contain 4 chapters in total:
- A return to the Castle of Barnard (from Illusions of the Dead 1)
- An abandoned mines chapter
- A church with tomb chapter
These first 3 chapters can be selected from a custom chapter select screen and can be completed in any order. All chapters must be completed in order to play the final chapter:
- The Second Dimension
- New images and updated teaser trailer
I've added new images for you to enjoy, and I've also updated the teaser trailer that includes one of the new (AI generated) voices. Check it out! --- Images --- Videos
- Release forecast
The project is not finished yet. Right now I'm averaging 6-8 hours a week on developing the project. I'm super hyped to finish to project and I'm aiming towards Q4 2024.

will this custom story have new monsters in it like Amadeus ghost? dose it require any install?
Hi! The Juras monsters (Ghost, Buffy, Skinny etc.) will be the main enemies in the custom story. Also, retextured versions of the original enemies like the Grunt and Suitor will appear in the custom story. Installing the mod will be like any other custom story.

The first part was also very good, there was everything in it, fear, para things, ghostly sounds, hypertensive chases. In short, for me Best Individual Story was 100/100 :) I think the continuation will also be very good, if we manage to surpass the first one, it would be unconscious :) I'm rooting for him good luck in making it!!!!!!

guy illusion of the dead is my favourite custom story I know there is no much people to play your custom story but personnaly I wait it. Make your better good luck and sorry for my bad english.
