Focus mainly on what you think is going on. Also, take your time, it's not long at all. Keep in mind that the focus of this is trying a new way to give information to the player (you), not scare an audience, so do try to immerse yourself.

Ignorant people don't have the patience for art in a simplistic design. It's not meant to be a shitty map meant for PewDie, it's unique in its atmosphere and people can't wrap their heads around it. Don't be mistaken by the reviews. For a short story, it has a better story than most of what is on the forums today. And it is NOT MEANT TO BE SCARY. great graphics, but short and no action

I can't get past the ladder part (where you go up the spiral staircase). I assume I need to open the trapdoor, but it won't let me. Any advice?
Try placing a barrel in front of the ladder, standing on that, and pushing open the trapdoor. (I screwed this one up, it should just be open to start with)
That was one of the most interesting custom stories I have ever played. I also traveled the world in one day and sampled women.
Are you going to make another Icarus? The prelude was good enough to be an entire custom story. :P
This is my favorite CS tied with 24 Hour Amnesia. Everyone says it's short but it felt long to me. Probably because I immersed myself in the really beautiful environment you crafted. Every other CS I finish I immediately delete. But I can't bring myself to delete this one. Thank you for this! <3
Everyone is saying it is too short... I've never played it but at least i can read! It says that it is an "itty bitty installment" to show "more chapters to come". So of course it's short, it's showing off what they can do. LEARN TO READ PEOPLE.
