Thanks! Do you have any ideas, though? One I just thought up of is webbing between the toes (like the skin in between the fingers), and bringing the joining area back a bit. What do you think?

Also, what should I do for the eyes? I can't think of anything.

Eyes should be allot and tiny..I was thinking the same thing for the toes too..But maybe the eyes could also start glowing when the houndeye charges..

Yeah, I thought that a while ago, too (about the eyes charging, before you said so), and I also think it should have an effect like the vortigaunt's beam attack, with beams all over.

I know a half-life 1 server where you could play as all the aliens..When you played as the houndeye it had a powerfull beam charge that took about 200 dmg..Maybe you can make such a charge beam that takes out 30 or 40 damage..

These guys have broken into my mind - I was gonna do the same thing. Well, either way, I'd have more aliens, and a different gameplay, as well as better effects, probably. And no, that powerful attack sounds weird. I mean, the houndeye would DEFINITELY be a ambush class, in which you need more players, but are a lot more powerful together. You, usually, couldn't kill anyone alone, unless you are a very skilled player.

I definitely will. I've decided on that months ago, but forgot to say. It won't be on ALL maps, but quite a few. I'll figure out ways to make them equal to humans.

i have a few ideas of how some powers and skill-traits could work for houndeyes to make them equal to humans (including cooperational teamplay) if i know something, its that not matter how good a dessing its, not all the world will like it, but if its liked by the 95% of people, its a ceratinly sucess!

It won't be on the main singleplayer campaign at all, but mappers can make a singleplayer map where the player plays as an alien. In multiplayer, most of the maps would probably have it, because not all maps take place in the Half-Life universe. Some might be terrorist versus counter terrorist maps. Some might be World War II.

*opinion: a way of making a eye would be making it look like a insectoid one, but the panels of the composed eye could be a bit un-uniformationed, and then making like a membrane of transparent liquid recovering the panels! that would be really interesting to see

@Smasher: Well, the vorts will use that. I was just wondering whether the eyes would be seperate enough to have some "skin" in between the eyes. In a day and a half, I'll just make it one big eye, as the majority of people (just avenger so far!) have voted.

interesting i want to see how u will dessing it, i ended whit a diferent one making it more "bull" than "squid" if u could make a "mutant" version it would give it sense about how they survive in radiactive pools, i didt it a time ago
