get CTD at loading screen
Remember to check the box in Options that says 'Load Textures on Demand'.
k thx for rep. should i turn it off or what should i understand from: box in options... well, i get CTD after loading textures, it says something like settings at the point i get CTD. i downloaded it 3 times.
I'm having the same problem, it just manages to get past loading textures then gets a runtime error during "loading stting data". Also, if I have "Load textues on demand" it wont even get that far, but rather crashes immidietly after the opening.
ehm it's still no text for me in the game and i use mac just so you know.. will that get fixt soon?

This is a list of all the differences (that I can remember!) between the official Perisno 0.74 and MelsPerisno v.74
Tolranian Hackers
-armour upgraded, weaponry limited to best type
Drahara Noble Troops
-Drahara Royal Rider is now Drahara Camel Archer (female)
-Drahara War Rider is now Drahara Elephant Archer (female)
*note these are now racav not shock cavalry*
MelsPerisno 1st Female Troop Tree
-Perisno War Maidens now are ranged cavalry, and use Dwarven Crossbows
MelsPerisno 2nd Female Troop Tree
-Viragos and Virago Heroines are sword and shield infantry
-Assassins are now Knightsbanes
-Knightsbanes and Knightsbane Heroines are polearm infantry
-Vixens are shock (lance) cavalry
-Maidens of War are sword and shield cavalry
Foreign Invaders
-King Rafklazan replaced by King Ukundu (rhino rider)

Hey so would melsperisno not crash as much as normal perisno? Becouse i saw that this version takes about 250 mb less space than normal persno.
That sort of thing depends upon your hardware. I never crash, so it's hard for me to say. My version is slightly smaller partly because I removed a few items (and their meshes and textures) that were not being used.

how can I get the steam for this game? I am a first timer I only downloaded 0.74 and there is no steam to make the game function?
So what exactly is the difference between this and normal Perisno? :x

Ah, sorry. For some reason I read that as simply a changelog compared to the last MelsPerisno version. Thanks for clarifying!
How to install this? Im new to this so i dont know what to do xD pls help
In your game folder (called MountBlade Warband) there is a folder called Modules. Once you've downloaded the MelsPerisno file, you unzip it (there are free apps to do this, like 7zip) and drop it in the Modules folder. Then start up Warband, and make sure in Options you check the little box for 'Load Textures on Demand' then select MelsPerisno from the pull-down menu and play.

I haven't played this or the other version. I see you're changelog posted but I still would like to ask what are the differences? Did you just add more stuff/make minor changes or am I going to regret choosing Mels or Original when I'm halfway through the game?
I don't feel you'd regret playing either version -- the differences are fairly minor. Honestly, I am surprised and humbled by MelsPerisno's popularity. It's just my personal tweaked version of Perisno.
hey, i have problem when i start the game i can't see the text like(load game,start new game....)I'm on MAC btw
For those who's experiencing missing text on Mac, please do this
- Find the mods folder
- Open DATA folder and delete FONT.xml
- Open TEXTURE folder and delete FONT.dds
You need to delete all data with "FONT" in both texture and data folder, and then you're good to go.
In some case, MAC doesn't support custom font, this thing also happen in other Mods, every time i did what i said before, it's always work.
I've managed to tweak the 0.71 version to work on a very old PC (Athlon xp 2200+, 1gb ram, radeon 9550xt -128 vram)!
Q1. Does the 0.74 full version contain any graphical improvements (or any other improvements that can increase the load on my system)?
Q2. Are there any low resolution textures for this mod, or patches that remove some features of the mod or revert them to native like "http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=148144.0" - "Removing or changing Mods from the pack" ?
Hi i have get object failed for textures pebbles_normal and mod stop working ( i have in optionsload textures on demand) pls help is great mod and i cant play
