Well, what the name doesn't say, the pictures should. I aim to make Homeworld 2 a visual feast. At this point I plan no gameplay changes. Credit to CNLPEPPER for his v2 shaders. Also feel free to tell me what you like and not, I can't guarantee everybody's happiness but I'll try my best to listen.
here you can see the damned bug I have. If you look at the center top of the screen, you will see the light shining out of my ass. it's like a damn phonecamera with a flash. it may be that this particular installation is very polluted with modifications and is simply broken, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Flashlight lol.
Almost looks like the camera is a shiny sphere, reflecting the natural light source onto the in-game models.
Pretty sure it's a feature in vanilla HW2 that your mod has turned into a problem.
thing is, it doesn't do that, it shines even when there is no light at all. hmm, the interesting thing I've just noticed is that it only seems to do this in campaign missions, corresponding skirmish maps just doesn't want to do it... I'll look into it some more, but if I am correct I might have narrowed down the source at least...
I still say it's in the vanilla game because you can see additional details on ships from the reflection of the "mystery light." For example, there are the letters AD near the bottom of the gray diagonal on Vaygr carriers that can only be seen by getting the light reflection just right.
I've just noticed this, but the backgrounds seem to be, low quality? Could just be the video. But wanna make sure all the same. :£
hehe, just the video compression. still playing around to get reasonable video quality/size balance. Check the screenshots for actual quality.
I also saw this problem in the Halo Homefront mod, although it was a small red light there, only visible in a rather specific angle.
