Hi everyone,
Work on the next beta is going ahead at full speed with lots of progress made much quicker than I have anticipated. Unfortunately I still cannot give you guys an estimated release date but I can give you a glimpse of what's to come in the next update.
First of all, the major powers and first tier secondary powers will get their infra, manpower and leadership distributed to them. These countries are: United States, Canada, China, Brazil, Russia, India, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.
I don't know if I will include any OOB's yet in this release but if I will be sure you will be notified about it, Right now however OOB's will probably not make it into the next beta. One thing that will be introduced in Beta 4 is the redesigned political screen which I will demonstrate with a small country we all know and love called Canada, The main changes are:
1. You now have a set of constitutional laws (marked in red) which you cannot change at any given time - these laws are what determines what kind of country you are leading and by changing them you can turn a dictatorship to a fledgling democracy or a fresh democratic state into a ruthless dictatorship.
How these constitutional laws are changed is yet to be determined but it will be hard to change them as the move from either government type is gradual and we obviously don't want countries to change from democracies to dictatorships on a daily basis.
2. There are now alongside the constitutional laws the domestic policies of your country, changing these will affect your constitutional laws so take note before you install those extra cameras in the capital city, it might just upset your people a bit too much.
3. The number of ministers has been reduced to four: Head of state, Head of government, Foreign minister and Chief of staff. The vanilla amount of ministers had no significant game play value and some of those posts don't exist anymore so they were scrapped.
4. Some of your policies cannot be changed if you are part of a federation (i.e: European Union) note that before you rush to join the EU. No doubt there are good bonuses but you will be giving up some control to Brussels. You will also have to pay a federal tax which will be determined by how rich your nation is.
These changes will allow you to have a much deeper complex control of how your money is spent, and you will need this micromanagement when the next financial crisis comes along. Please note the system isn't finished yet and is subject to change, so anything you see here may change in the final version of Beta 4.

You may have already fixed these problems, but you should look at the boarders of Bosnia, Slovenia and Bulgaria. Bosnia has a connection to the sea(1 province small) between the croatian mainland and another croatian province(Creating a croatian exclave). Trieste and the province above trieste belongs to Italy, while the two provinces to the south of Trieste belongs to slovenia aswell as the province to the east of those two. 4 provinces to the south east of Romania belongs to Bulgaria. Ofcourse these aren't the exact modern boarders, though it would resemble them a bit better. I am overall very exited to se what you have got to offer. it overall looks fantastic. And by the way, are you going to add events for the arab spring, the libyan and syrian civil wars aswell as the russian annexation of Crimea?
Wow this mod is looking amazing! You guys think that you could improve the regions? I know that the USA is mostly prefect there but the rest of the world still has that CAPITAL_NAME Region thing going on. Last I checked Canada has 13 provinces, not around 20.
About the political parties, should be there something ''in the right'' but not religious? Parties like Golden Dawn, Jobbik and Pravy Sektor are more ''fascist-esque'' but I don't think they fit Religous extremist.
