You play in the role of Captain Percy Freeman, a Special Forces officer who is assigned the task of tracking down and assassinating the renegade Colonel Kurtz. Things take a turn for the worse when, having set off on your mission, the higher-ups in the chain of command mysteriously decide that they want you dead, while you discover to your horror that someone has been breeding an inhuman master-race of hideous undead mutants which is now rampaging across the jungle slaughtering everything in its path. Stuck between the Viet-Cong, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the hordes of mindless zombies, with only your sidekick Barney for company and your trusty chainsaw for a weapon, your one remaining hope is to keep going deeper and deeper into enemy territory, wading through the bodies of the fallen, towards the elusive Kurtz...

Currently the best way to play Heart of Evil, screw the napalm edition.

It's refreshing to know that I'm not the only one who hated the awful Napalm Edition version.
Napalm Edition is to Heart of Evil what The Twin Snakes is to Metal Gear Solid.
Any possibility to update the mod so it can have the Napalm HD models ported in from the Remod version?
I know this mod port hasn't been updated in three years, but do you think it would be possible to bring the HD models from the Napalm Editon into this port at some point? You know, so I can have more realistic looking weapons and characters rather than just having some green, low definition Half-Life 1 Barney Reskin?
If someone gets weird glitches in episode 5, like heads of soldiers disappearing, invisible enemies and random crashes.
Try putting all your advanced video settings to lowest or off, including windows aero extensions, and restart.
Then put everything back to what you want and restart.
I dont know what exactly fixes it by doing that, but it worked for both me and my friends.
i wonder if you have time to help me ? i make a giant mod with more than 200 maps.. that i get from mods from gearbox ... or pov or few good others.. but i need new dlls for some monsters and entities.. by now i test all maps in a single player mode with opposing force mod..
i also would like to make a port of it to hls .
as you made a super great job with hoe.. i would like to work with you in team... that is still empty..
Love this mod... Reminds me of the Vietnam war like,Armageddon, Time Travel, The Chocolate Man and Black Metal Jacket. Source is the unseperior version however, so I'm going to take a point off for this one. Goldsource four life!
Reminds me of the Vietnam war.Correction, the movies were Click, Forest goop, Black metal jacket, apocalypse now. These movies were staples of the 80s and 70s Vietnam War propagander and political status. I'm a big fan. I change my mind,Source is bring ragdolls to live, and more realistic and gorey. Love seeing gibs bounce up and down off walls celeings and floors.Love this mod. Bless are troops!!USA USA
