A small mod consisting of 7 maps. Designed to keep the original feel of Portal 1, while adding in puzzle elements only seen in Portal 2. This mod features Pink and Yellow Portals, other than the traditional Orange and Blue ones created by Valve.
Hazmat took my maps from middle school and made them purple. It's nice to see my old work find new light, even if some of the original issues still persist. I don't think the level with the dual portal device was necessary. It felt like it was only there to elongate the mod. If the dual portal device wasn't used as a test device, and is just rewarded to the player, it could have been in the first room of the succeeding chamber. Ignoring that and some minor details, this mod is fun. Hazmat told me that support will continue. Don't take my word. Wait for him to confirm anything, but that would be nice. I suggest playing this through. There's a rewarding sound bite at the end that's equally as memorable as Still Alive.
Great mod
I found the experience pretty mediocre, felt like the mod doesn't even know what it wants to be.
The test chambers feel pretty claustrophobic and amateurish.
The ending makes absolute no sense (if you can even call it an ending?), I couldn't believe it ended like that, so I had to noclip through the map and check if there was anything.
I liked a little bit of the detailing in some of the maps, like the lighting and some minor stuff. But overall, I would not recommend it, the description says it's "designed to keep the original feel of Portal 1", but I just didn't felt that.
Ok puzzles; but has some lighting issues and the energy orbs are as annoying and infuriating as ever.
Unpolished and not very well optimized.
The art style and level design did look good in some areas though.
It's alright, does involve a little puzzling, most of them were simple. Maps though are very claustrophobic and the color choice is rather painful for the eyes.
