Did you ever think Half-Life was way too easy? Hard-Life corrects that issue.
The grunts have 9 different heads now, and vary between short and long sleeved at random. I made some tiny small changes to bring their quality up a bit closer to other important game characters. All their textures are still tiny, just not 32x32x tiny any more!
Very Nice. Could the grunts eventually start to use the RPG and Crossbow? Mainly the grunts in the "normal" game are like meat shields because of their MP5 and Shotguns being so weak. (even on hard)
The crossbow would fit to black ops more imo.
Here's something interesting. An early version of the Black-Ops Assassin's model had a crossbow instead of a silenced pistol: Combineoverwiki.net
Xbow wouldn't fit grunts, but their weapons now deal the same as the player's. Their accuracy is also equal to the player's as well so they do a better job of hitting you more and at a range too.
RPG is to be decided. Maybe in the tiniest handful of locations.
About RPG grunts, I like that idea, especially like how they made in Sven Coop where they use laser sight to guide rockets.
If you add a RPG grunt. I suggest making them use a visible laser beam (similar to a sniper from Half-Life 2) so they can be seen from a long way away so the player does not have any unfair deaths.
They could switch to their secondary weapon - a glock? - (if there will be any) when they run out of primary ammo. And could use the strafe movements like early development HL versions.

Generally I cannot see the grunts using an 357 or 9mm Handgun.. Unless they "ran out" of ammo for the Mp5/Shotgun. I could see them using satchel charges but only in specific areas (such as "Forget About Freeman!")

Man... Wish I looked that good in the military. Fantastic work on the grunts.
