'Halo: Ring of Destruction' is a codename for our total conversion mod for HL2. The game won't be identical to Halo, but will have some minor similarities. There were many things I disliked in Halo and they include boring (easyish) gameplay, basic appearances of maps and the repetiveness of both map areas and characters. Hopefully, all of this will be improved with the mod. We had worked a fair bit on the 'Pillar of Autumn' for Singleplayer and had got a few Multiplayer maps made. However, due to copyright infringement issues we are unable to keep it as you see in the pictures. Much will change including storyline, characters, locations etc. If you're wondering whether the hell we know what we're doing, on our private forums we have discussed the entire story, had some of our own concept drawn out, thought about new names and variations and also come up with some unique ideas. One of the big changes with this mod is that it will be supporting co-op gameplay....

Marines don't look like that. They're not supposed to be stocky and ****.

First off, why the hell do you hate sketches?

Secondly, marines look different in everyone's game/movie, because futuristic marines don't yet exist.
Basically it's like looking at our MC model and saying, 'Master Chief doesn't look like that in real life!'

Finally, marines are NOT supposed to be stocky.
I take it you watched one movie or played one game with a stocky marine and now you think everyone's interpretation of a marine should be like that?
We based this marine slightly off of the USCM in 'Aliens', as we felt they had what we wanted.
If we are to make a variety of marines, then chances are there'll be a stocky one in there anyway.
