GTA: United is one of the biggest total conversion modifications for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ever made. It connects Vice City and Liberty City in one game and it's major target is putting those towns next to San Andreas. Also a completely new storyline based on the one of the GTA III series will be includet.

To give Aschratt a hand here, San Andreas is not yet included, it won't even fit on this image anyway, SA is huge compared to Vice City.

Keep up the great work Aschratt, a monumental task, great work so far.

Thanks, you are right.
It is not only the image where it wont fit. San Andreas got many internal limits which make it impossible to add so many objects. However this modification was a breakthrough in limit manipulation on San Andreas engine. Sacky developed his SA Limit Adjuster for and in strong cooperation with us. With BETA 1.2 there will come a new version which makes installation more simple and reduces random game crashes.

However still it is impossible to add San Andreas, but we are working and researching a few ways how to do it. Since there are some very complex limits these ways are very complex, too and require some weeks (or months) of work. this is the reason why we first left the project "San Andreas" on ice and decidet to release a stable "Non-SA" version, first.

I think that the citys shoudent be accsesibal with such a short trip!

As far as i know, the sky and sea size limits are infinate, meaning you could expand the sea a little further but then thats just one guys opinion, and i presume realisam isnt what your aiming for here.

And look at it, not to seem like a douche, dissing your fine work but there so... so close. It would feel wired being able to see Portland from VC stadium.

Also, what are your thorets on GTA3 ghost town. To be ingored till later or totaly disreguarded.

Hey asceratt, try adding the islands to the original sa map, this might make it a bit easier. this is coming from a 12 year old (he is a modder too)he said, i typed.

Then he should lear a bit more about modding GTA. Adding those islands to the SA map was our original target. It does not make things easier - it is a horrible trip. And this does not come from a 12 year old calling himself a "modder" - this comes from a team with more than 5 years of modding experience in the field of the GTA III engine.

Greetings,
- Aschratt :)

You cannot expect any help from Rockstar since this mod is no official modification and they do not know how it works and what it changes. Also it appears like Rockstar does not like modding since this hot-coffee story...

For more information about crashes and fixes read our FAQ threads or ask in our official forums on gta-worldmods.de or gtainside.com :)

It looks to me like some room could be saved if Vice City was moved north a bit. It looks like Portland could fit in the space between the VC Arena and Airport.

I don't know much about GTA modding, so I'm not sure if that'd do more harm than good, so I'll leave it to you guys.

Excellent work, and I look forward to 1.2

Hey to all who are looking for San Andreas. Please read the comments and the mod description.

-----------
Adding San Andreas is impossible at the moment. We decided to leave it out first since there are several mathmatical and technical limits (For detailed information read previous comments of mine, the mod description or our FAQ threads on GTA-Worldmods.de or GTAinside.com). This also is the reason why the cities appear to be so close to each other.
