Okay, I don't want to offend the creators of this game in any way but this mod was very dissapointing. Grey is not a very good mod at all. For a mod that's been anticipated for three years and has been in development for that tiime, you would expect a great story, great characters, beautiful atmosphere, and a balanced enemy system.

Sadly, this mod falls in almost every aspect. For one the story (what little there is) has been done a million times. A guy slowly goes insane, he wakes up and the entire town is empty. Anyone hear Cry of Fear in this? Anyway, the story is pretty lackluster and not much originality was put into it. The character Grey himself isn't someone we'd relate with much. We don't even know alot about, however the voice acting is pretty ok except it could've been better in a few parts but the voice actor nails it when it comes to emotions.

The atmosphere is also pretty scary and nails the tone of this game...for a whole ten minutes! As the game progresses, the game gets less and less scary! And that's NOT a good thing when you're supposed to be playing a survival horror game. The enemies are RIDICULOUSLY difficult to kill and your melee weapons don't do jack to them unless you have patience for hitting the easiest enemy in the game over a million times.

The guns don't do much either as you'd probably waste your enitre pistol on one enemy and enemies can kill you pretty quickly. Health is scarce as hell and when you do find it, it doesn't replenish either as a reward for going on a scavenger hunt just to replenish it after fighting a basic enemy earlier. Bottom line, the weapons for the most part are useless.

Overall Score: 2/10
Had this game been given more thought and effort, Grey could've been much better but I can't recommend this mod to anyone unless you're willing to sit through the issues. If you want to, give a playthrough, if the same things that annoy you bug me as well, I say give a pass.
