Gothic 2 - Requiem features a whole new weapon skill system, new forging system, new quests, new characters, new textures, new weapons and armor, improved AI, new & tweaked monsters and much much more!
Still working hard on it, but it's almost done. Shouldn't look much different from this, so I've decided to upload a little something.
Music is wrong, this track should be played in the Valley of Mines.
Blood splats on the floor are slightly less big, more realistic.
If I could give my opinion, it would be great to be able to choose between original sound effects and music and new one. I mean, I love the Gothic 1 music, but it'd be more appropriate in the valley of mines since it's a dark and mysterious music while the Gothic II Khorinis music is a more peaceful one and it's appropriate for the Island. As for the sound effects, these are nice, but i'd like to have the choice though :)
I am inclined to agree with Thorusus. I don't mind the new sound fx, but having G2 music in "newworld" map and G1 music in "oldworld" would be not only preferable to me, but it would create a nice contrast to both areas and invoke nostalgia for both games.
I'll do a video showing the areas and their respective music tracks, so that we can discuss it there.
But I agree with you, G1 music in Khorinis feels inappropriate.
