the sword mourning bringer or something Thread - Gothic 2 - Requiem mod for Gothic II - The Night of the Raven

Hey guys ... that sword in the cave with fallen paladins , near grimbald is called mourning bringer or something like that but I was wondering if it does anything special besides that visual effect ...

If you equip it , it now burns red and when you kill someone it echos some undead ghost noises like it says on the sword ... and I was wondering if it is special in anything else or it's a visual effect ? I imagine storing souls or something like it was in The returning mod with that rune....

If any of you guys know or use this sword let me know. It's two handed and I generally prefer one handed swords ... that's why I need to know if it's worth using it.

Hi, the sword basically heals you (I think every time you score a crit). It is extremely powerfull, I won lots of fights just due to the healing, it is pretty significant.

wow .... I was looking at stats and other things but never thought about looking at HP ... thx for the tip.

damn you are right , the sword is very OP ... I bet the guys who rely on pure melee don't know about this sword .... all the orc zombies problem are solved forever... no more range

does mournbringer do any good in the new version (14.04.2016)?

it seems it deals normal damage (no armor piercing) and doesn't leech health anymore.
the sword itself can be sold for 3000 Gold.

Not created the script yet, but it will do something :3

i have to correct myself:
it does armor piercing damage, but it seems that armor piercing means 'doing with every hit the same damage without respect to strength or %skill'. (i mentioned this in the bugreport from 06.06.2016 also)
