When two hyperspace explorers stumbled onto the remote world of Korriban, they never could have guessed the chain of events they were setting into motion. Over the previous centuries, the Sith Empire had grown in size and strength, and Korriban was the very heart of its dominion. The reigning Sith Lord, Marka Ragnos, had just died, sparking a brutal power struggle between rivals Ludo Kressh and Naga Sadow. The explorers’ arrival marked the first contact between the Republic and the Sith Empire, and it created at an opportunity to end the power struggle. Naga Sadow seized the moment and rallied the Sith for a pre-emptive strike against the Republic under his leadership.

Still a work in progress, however this is more or less close to how the Mandalorians will look/feel.

Looking from this angle in particular makes me think this cruiser should be relatively small and fast, perhaps a picket ship :)
It might end up as such/ I'm thinking about making the Mandalorian ships smaller and fast to contrast with the Larger Sith and Republic ships.
That's a thought... it would provide contrast, but equally the Mandalorians seem, to me at least, like the kind of people who would have huge powerful warships... :/ depends what canon information there is about Mandalorian shipbuilding of the time I suppose. Sadly I don't know anything much :/
Yeah, So little information of this era, that I'm basically making it up as I go. A set of 4 or so comics about the Hyperspace war is about all there is.;p

Yes, And I love it. I can make starwars stuff from my mind and shape things a bit with my personal style and get away with it. At some point we are going to make a wiki with our thoughts and ideas on the era, however not being "cannon" it will still be the most accurate and complete archive of information on the time period.
