Introducing

Hello! No models to show right now, instead i'd like to talk to you about the music for this mod.
First off, it's made by me! KittyKitsune, and I am the newest member working on this mod.
I am the composer and possibly will also be making sound effects and work on voice over later on.

Now for the music

The musical goal for Golden Age of War is to have at least 19 original tunes, same as in Empire at War : FOC.
Now obviously, if I could have an austrian philharmonic orchestra play the music that would be lovely, but since we are working for free that is somewhat unlikely to happen. Instead I am making the music using a virtual studio, my two beautiful keyboards, and a lots of VSTi (Virtual Studio Technology Instruments).

The music for Golden Age of War will be a bit more varied than in Empire at War, it won't all be strings and brass. Why?
Well, this part of star wars takes place a long time before the movies, and the lines here are not as clearly defined as in the movies, this is more ambiguous. The original star wars theme is iconic and classic, but it tells a different story, one of a hero fighting the established power.
But in our time, it's an enemy unknown that engage in a brutal war.

The sound track is suppose to reflect the uncertainty, and the shock of the encounter with the sith war machine, it is a force that is creeping across the galaxy conquering in it's path.

The idea is then: Golden Age of War will feature a mix of Techno music, ambient music, Metallic sounds and Symphonic tunes as well. Those of you who have listened to the Sith Theme should know how that the symphonic orchestras work together with the electronic sounding components to create a sense of disturbance. It doesn't sound "nice" and it isn't suppose to.

Now I understand that many wish for music like Knight of the Old Republic or from other star wars titles. I can't promise anything, but if something works with an RTS I will give it a listen and maybe be inspired, so if you have something very inspiring let me know in a comment, and maybe it will influence some of the future tunes. Currently there are 7 completed tunes, so still a lot to work on, and the tunes may also change over time.

Well that's enough about the theory behind this, it's easy to get lost in a wall of text.
Today I am giving you 2 new tunes to listen to. The Main Theme, which you will probably realise has many similarities with the Sith theme, and will also have similarities with the Republic theme when it is done.
And also what might be a Ground Combat Theme, provided that Mr. Kharkov gives his final approval of it in the end.

Thank you for taking an interest in Golden Age of War: Incursion of the Sith, Stay Tuned

Will the Dark Reaper make an appearance? Wookie says that it was built for the Great Hyperspace War but if I remember the game it was from correctly Ulic Qel-Droma was the one who killed it. So that would make it 1,000 years later. Is this a flaw in the game or am I remembering things incorrectly?

It was built by Naga sadow around 5000BBY at the time of the hyperspace wars. It was destroyed some 1000 years or so later...
Fear not, It will be in the mod.

think its possible to add more player slots and map slots on the maps for more factions? i dont mean more factions themselves, like on most mods as thats boring. what i mean is can you add more "player" slots. so you dont ahve to have a 2v2 to have more than 3 teams on the same map. so it can have a 1v1v1v1v1v1 or 2v2v2 or a 1v1v1v1 mirror play game all on the same map? it would widen the playing field, allow for larger maps for in-game use and really create all sorts of havoc on GC if 2+ factions are above the same planet with 3 fleets simultaneously. I know it's asking a lot and it'll take a lot of work, but so far no other mod team believes that this is possible or can be done on this particular game. new models are cool, new factions are great and new maps are fun, but in the long run, it tires out and grows boring over time. the more players on a map, the longer battles last, and the more fun exists. plus to add to it, it would be different. there wouldn't be any confusing this mod with any other if this were to be accomplished as that would remain the secret to this mod's team and absolutely nobody would be able to duplicate what you do since they believe it cannot be done.

**** no.. The most I will deviate is a Tales of the Jedi expansion, which takes place right after the hyperspace war. It's disgusting how many clonewars mods there are anyway.

The problem with most mods - espacially with clone wars mods - is that they often only add some new moddels, which doesn´t change anything in terms of gameexperience or individuality. They keep the basic game as it is.
This mod on the other hand looks very promising and once it´s released it will be outstanding, I´m sure ;)

yeah, way to many mods just add and add new models with out any supporting features. I'm lucky to have access to a massive pool of talent, so I can add new features that would be inaccessible for other mods.

I agree izz, if a good clone mod came out, then it'd be good, i had one a real long time ago, but i have no idea where it went, i thought it was on the db.. but i guess not...

On the other hand this mod looks amazing, and i can honestly wait if it means its gonna be as amazing as it looks.

Thankyuou Kharcov and team. Best mod around by the looks of it C:
