The new BX Commando Droid is ready :)
This is the regular commando, sniper and captain are planned.
My question is about the second. What weapon should we give to the captain:
1) standart E-5 Blaster
2) Sword

Ofc, the sniper will be part of the team, it's just not rigged yet
Give them a normal blaster and a sword ability!

Base it off of Bossk's change weapon ability, but have it switch over to a Melee weapon? Or would that not work? I've never dug into how the mechanic works so I wouldn't know
Nope. Switch weapons uses the same animations, but with different projectiles. We already use that for the Assault Jet trooper. In this case we need to switch between animations

I've seen models that include both a melee and a gun weapon, with the transition from one to the other using a deploy animation. Why don't you try that?
Also, on an unrelated note, who else wants to see Embo in one of these mods?
Humperdink618 Yeah, I though about that already, but I'm keeping it as last resort. I wanted to find a smoother way. Btw, any examples of this kind of units?
Embo is already planned in our mod with a nice melee attack

Its cool that Embo will be showing his face in the not-to-distant future. Out of curiosity, could he have an ability similar to Luke's lightsaber throw, except instead of throwing a lightsaber, he throws his hat?
Absolutely, that was the planned melee attack :) It's too emblematic to not include it :)
