Back in the days of HW1Classic, there was a certain popular feature in the v1.05 patch that was known as "pilot view". In HW2 and HWRM this feature isn't available, as focusing on a unit will just lock the camera onto a fixed perspective unless you manually move it.
One of the new features in the upcoming build is something we call "enhanced camera options". Three hotkeys allow you to view your ships in new, sometimes cutscene-like angles and perspectives. Demonstrated here is one of the new options, the dynamic camera. By focusing on a unit, zooming in and pressing the hotkey, it is possible to recreate the pilot view effect in HWRM.
