State of the Mod, Photo/Video Contest news - Freeworlds: Tides of War mod for Freelancer

Well, it's been a long few weeks, but we're glad to report that we've achieved complete server stability. Most of our advanced features are ready for roll out, and it's just a matter of refining the balance and making sure everything is user friendly. A big thanks to all of our fans who helped us achieve this milestone.

We're also pleased to announce our first Screenshot and Battle Footage Contest! We're looking for the best and most compelling shots of your experiences in the game. All selected winners will have their shots and footage featured in a compilation video published to ModDB and Youtube. One winner from each category (Still and Video) will have the opportunity to name an in game object or NPC.*

Requirements are as follows -

Images

• Aspect Ratio: 16:9, 16:10
• Resolution: 720p or 1080p (or 16:10 equivalent)
• Format: Uncompressed PNG
• DX9 Settings Medium or High
• Cube_Size: 1024 minimum. 2048 suggested
• Shadow Setting: Medium or higher
• Dynamic Lights required
• Atmospheres required

Video

• Aspect Ratio: 16:9
• Resolution: 1080p
• Framerate: 30 FPS or higher
• Format: Raw recordings. No compression or conversion.
• DX9 Settings High
• Cube_Size: 2048 Required
• Shadow Setting: Medium or higher
• Dynamic Lights required
• Atmospheres required

Submission Instructions

Submissions must be made before May 15, 2014

• Images may be linked in response posts to this thread. Links must be downloadable and not watermarked.
• Image name convention - FWTOW_Contest_USERNAME_###.png - Please use number padding eg 001, 002, 010, 011
• Videos must be submitted to freeworldstidesofwar@gmail.com. You may use any means of cloud storage to accomplish the goat. Submit footage in compressed archives (7z, RAR, ZIP) with the name convention - FWTOW_Contest_Username_###.extension.
• You may also link youtube uploaded footage to this thread. This is optional, but suggested.
