Hello. Next thing that grinds my gears - the camera. When I'm driving and a car "sneaks" up behind me and right where the camera is, the camera jumps to the side. It just moves away from the car behind me. Another one - when you're driving and reach a certain speed, there's the effects of flames coming out of the exhausts but when the vehicle loses contact with the ground (when you jump and the wheels don't touch the ground) the effect just disappears and it re-appears when you touch the ground again. When you're driving on rough terrain with a bike for example, it becomes really annyoing (for me at least). There's also the problem with the names in the drivers list (top right corner). I'm not quite sure what might cause this, but it might be caused by the AI-s that have ridiculously long names. I haven't noticed anything else right now and I really like that someone's actively making the game better, I was like 75% done with the game when I found this mod, I felt like my life has been a lie. The mod is great and I like everything else so far - like the new challenges and the interesting UI. Edit: Edited by: Cheastnut |

Hi,
The AI issues I'm aware of, I'm working on improving this - each race has its own AI values to be set, so if you encounter issues and want to make a list of them (granted there a lot of problems) then I can ensure they are addressed. Something I am working on as well is extended difficulty options, which would mean if the default three difficulty levels are to hard/easy or simply don't work then the user can adjust them themselves via the mod manager. This would mean users won't have to wait for me to fix them and the races can be more suited to the user skill and preference. More info on this in an upcoming news post.
The camera issue I will look into, but there is probably not much I can do as its just the way the game handles it. I might be able to set the view to not budge and simple go though other objects, but that probably wouldn't improve the view much. Another option would be to increase the default camera height level, tilt to try and minimize such problems.
The flame effect is no more as of the latest patch (see image = Moddb.com) . I'm working on an optional mod to bring it back for those who want it, but it will be slightly improved to appear near a vehicles top speed with added window to not disappear on every bump you hit. I think the implementation of this effect was rushed, it was originally for use in a boost system that for whatever reason was dropped from the game.
HUD is work in progress, but will be fixed in upcoming patches or by V15.5. There is a provided optional mod to disable it back to default if you wish while I finish working on it. I will be providing options to either enable the marquee effect in case if the user wants it, but with a few tweaks it shouldn't need it.
Glad you like it, I aim to improve things further over time as the mod is still very much a work-in-progress, Patch #3 is coming soon and will fix more things, but the big V15.5 update next month and its after-release patches will be when most of these issues will be resolved tbh. Later down the road I have a few more major releases planned and even an unofficial expansion pack that is also currently in development - but the release for that is a little way off yet - Vetron Edit: Tidied up post, was a bit rushed at time of writing.
