Download for R2 of FUEL: REFUELED, the enhancement modification for the game FUEL.
Instructions:
- Backup your saved-game file.
With any mod for any game, you should always make a backup of your saved-game file. To do this you should navigate to your Documents folder and open the “my games” folder. Here you will see a folder named “FUEL”, simply make a copy of it.
- Extract .Zip Contents to FUEL or FUEL Demo Directory.
You must locate your FUEL or FUEL Demo installation directory. To do this on Windows 8; find the shortcut to FUEL, right click it and select "Open File Location".
Alternatively on other versions of Windows; right click on the shortcut, select "Properties" and then click on the "Open File Location" button.
If you’re using the Steam version of the game you can locate your FUEL directory easily via the Steam client:
• Right click on your FUEL game entry within your game library.
• Click "Properties".
• Navigate to the "Local Files" tab and then click on the "Browse Local Files" button.
Next open the .Zip file you downloaded and extract the files to your FUEL or FUEL Demo directory. There are no separate versions of the mod for each version, so all files should be copied.
If Windows prompts you asking you whether you wish to overwrite any files then that likely means you have an older version of the REFUELED mod installed, you should deactivate and remove this first
- Open JSGME Mod Manager
Click on the JSGME.exe now copied to your FUEL or FUEL Demo directory. It will ask you to type a name for your mods folder, however you should leave it as the default "MODS".
- Activate "[C] - Patch #5" and "[E] - REFUELED 2013.1 [R2]"
In the JSGME mod manager window you will see a list of mods available to you. FUEL: REFUELED 2013.1 comes with 56 mod packages and there is no need to install them all. REFUELED is broken down as so:
• Mods denoted with "[C]" are core mods, in this case "[C] - Patch #5", the base of what REFUELED 2013.1 runs on.
• REFUELED is denoted with "[E]" to mean extension, you will need to activate both "[C] - Patch #5" and "[E] - REFUELED 2013.1 [R2]".
• Other mods denoted with "[O]" are optional, I will cover these in the next step.
- Activate Optional Mods to Customize
There are 54 optional mods provided in the REFUELED 2013.1 package, each is provided with a description when you hover your mouse over them. You shouldn't activate them all and not all will work with one another. For simplicity reasons with REFUELED, JSGME will give you a warning that says "Enabling this mod *may* have adverse effects on your game." when a mod combination not suitable to install is activated.
NOTE: For the most part it should be easy to identify which mods you shouldn't activate together - i.e. you should only install one vehicle color palette, one UI theme, one force time of day etc.

All that is required is included in the download package (requires patch 5 active). There is instructions if you click "Read More +" on the description section above or there is also a PDF guide with screenshots included with the download itself.

If you or anyone else experiences these issues again please can someone PM me directly - as these comments are not monitored, i.e. I don't a notification. However I may be able to provide alternative temporary hosting quickly should sites be down.

I really would love to try this mod. Unfortunately, it´s impossible to download. Not available here and not available at strategyinformer either. Can´t be that hard to upload a file...
These sorts of issues are beyond my control sadly - if you know of more reputable modding sites that will host the file then by all means suggest it.
I am aware of past issues with the download - quite a few of you have brought it to my attention, it would be useful if anyone else experiences issues again lets me know as-well. (I may be able to forward these complains on en mass to the site manager(s) in question and get something done about it).
It will be a very rare occurrence that both sites happen to be offline or under maintenance, but should it ever happen again just PM me and I will host the file temporarily somewhere else (like drop box of skydrive etc.).
I installed the mod successfully. Just noticed that the enter the bonus code feature is gone. Is this one of the extra optional menu mod that removed this? Would like to enter the codes in.
Yes the optional custom menu mods do remove the bonus codes menu, as I deemed the menu not required once you've had them entered once etc. Just make sure any UI mods aren't active, then the menu will appear - enter the codes, then you may continue to use which ever theme you like again.

A really great addition (If it isn't there already and I somehow missed it) Would be the option to disable the mud that gets splattered on the screen when driving offroad.

Great mod otherwise, you've done a fantastic job. :D
I prefer to have more splatters of rain and mud and lensflare from the sun onto the screen.
And also perhaps more camera view in further distance away from the vehicle and the first person view with the steering weel and hands like in shift2.
And so far I have only seen trucks and other huge vehicles , are there no other traffic vehicles??
Also the grass, flowers and trees etc... can you put it so we have the option to draw it further?

Invulnerability only (without driving on water) isn't possible unfortunately as they for some reason are directly linked via a single parameter.
Hi Vetron. Thank You for this mod.
I am having difficulty researching what exactly refueled does vs patch 5.
I mostly only free roaming and using patch5 because it fixes missing skidmarks, crashes from debug menu, adds 15min interval for time and so on. It does not alter handling or game in any way aside from reordering vehicles in nice categories.
As for refueled - I am failing to see what is changed exactly compared to patch5 ?I am not talking about additional races, developement tools and so on. Just in free roam. You mention enviromental weather changes and handling changes but I am not sure if I can notice any changes.
