Or fight for the Prophets as a member of the Holy Covenant Navy, become a privateer in the Kig-Yar mercenary squadrons, or serve the fleet in the Ministry of War.
One of the newer ship classes of the UNSCN, the Longbow-class Frigate is an experiment in ship design. Its key feature is the integral SSAK-77 Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, a huge leap in the firepower possessed by other small ship classes of the Navy. However, this comes at a cost of flexibility. The size and power requirements of the weapon mandate the ship be actually constructed around the weapon, leaving little space to carry marines or additional weapons systems, as well as little armor. It is however a huge force multiplier in ship to ship combat.
