We thought we were the only galactic power. The United Nations had encountered other races, but none so powerful as ourselves. The Holy Covenant proved us wrong. They took the colony Harvest. They killed millions. And now, we will never rest until those lost are avenged. Freelancer: The Harvest Campaign aims to bring the true vastness of space to Freelancer in the form of a Halo Total Conversion. Massive engagement ranges, huge planets, titanic stars. The mysteries of the universe are there for you to discover, but will war erase all hope from the galaxy? Players are free to sign up to fight for Humanity in the United Nations Space Command Navy, to provide for the massive war machine in the United Nations Merchant Marine, or keep tabs on the enemy as a member of ONI. Or fight for the Prophets as a member of the Holy Covenant Navy, become a privateer in the Kig-Yar mercenary squadrons, or serve the fleet in the Ministry of War.
UN Barracuda-class FFG test-firing its SIMC-13 countermissile batteries.
It should be mentioned that this particular FFG is simply firing its countermissiles without a target. If there is an active target, the countermissiles will curve in towards it in a cinematic fashion.
Have you encountered a problem with missles failing to track with the newtonian physics? Especially when your target ship and your own are going in different vectors at speed?
UN missiles are designed in such a way that if you are moving away from a target, chances are they wont be able to overcome their own initial velocity. Plasma Torpedoes do not have that problem. This is an intended gameplay mechanic.
(Countermissiles, however, have a very large acceleration, and can track properly towards most vectors)
