The Firefight Project: A Gameplay Experiment in Source Project Goals: The primary goal of this project is, natrually, to produce a game where firefights are the prominent gameplay dynamic. That is, create a mod where player's reflexes are not so importaint as manuvering and using tactics to eliminate opposing players. This project is dedicated to creating sustained fights (a real battle; an exchange between opposing players) that are exciting and tense. The best moments in games are when you don't die right away, and have to struggle to both survive and eliminate. That sort of dynamic/situation is at the heart of this project. Theory: As was stated in "Project Goals" above, this project is focused on producing a game where players struggle to survive and eliminate opposing players. We've begun production of the Pre-Alpha build, that is, a test of core concepts sans any custom content (besides the code of course). We're still looking for another programmer however to help out. In about a week we'll be releasing some renders for you, so check back in the next week
