Possible fix for crashes to desktop Thread - FaceOff Paintball mod for Half-Life 2

This fix is for people that encounter ctd problem (crash to desktop) and can't run the game.
So what you want to do is:
1. Go to your *\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\fo2 folder.
2. Open up the gameinfo file.
3. Find and edit the 2 lines that say:

AdditionalContentId 380 //Ep1
AdditionalContentId 420 //Ep2

To

//AdditionalContentId 380 //Ep1
//AdditionalContentId 420 //Ep2

(Remember to have Source SDK, Source SDK Base 2006, Source SDK 2007, Half-life 2 UP TO DATE and RUN THEM AT LEAST ONCE !)
Save up and start the game, cheers

Thanks for posting that. It's weird though, I've tested it on a machine that only has CS:S installed and it never complained about mounting the missing Ep1 or Ep2 content. From what I can tell, it's throwing a "failed to resize cache" error somewhere, which seems to be an entirely undocumented issue.

No problem And that's the error I was getting all the time. I have CS:S and HL2 but not episode 1 or episode 2 installed, and after that change I've managed to get it to work, so I think it's worth sharing
