Europe at War is a historical mod for Company of Heroes that adds new battlefronts with new commander trees, abilities, units, vehicles and weapons for each, representing in the best way, as far as possible, historical accuracy, to immerse players in a much more realistic gaming experience. Situated on a Western theatre from the warm sands of north africa, italian battlefields, beaches of Normandy, Dutch Tulip fields, ardennes forests and defensive lines of the Rhine in germany.
In July 1942 Egypt was in the first battle of the alemein, where they fought the Axis forces, commanded by Erwin Rommel, and Allied forces commanded by Claude Auchinleck. The battle stopped the second (and last) progress made by the Axis forces at El Alamein, Egypt, located about 106 kilometers from Alexandria. El Alamein was a small railway station on the coast. About 35 km south is the crest Ruweisat, low and gravelly, which, however, provided excellent observation posts surrounding desert.
