So this is a control point map? Interesting...
Also that eagle symbol in the background is different from the current UTF one. Perhaps it belongs to some sort of a third faction?

This is a hardcore mode map. That means that it includes both control point combat and space combat as opposed to cp maps that only have control point combat.
The old UTF eagle is accurate. The NTSS Phoenix (the derelict ship) belongs to the UTF but has been lost in space for some time. The symbol is outdated because the ship is outdated as well.
