Ah, a true beta :D
Just wondering, is anyone else getting an error message that reads:
Failed to load the launcher DLL:
The specified module could not be found.
I'm using Windows, more specifically Windows 8. I have everything the mod requires. And for some reason, I can't start the game.
Are you sure you've installed the Source SDK Base 2013 - Singleplayer in Library->Tools ?
SSB2013 was glitching, so I reinstalled it.
It worked again.

In the Darkness the Flashlight didnt wotk, thats wat I mean!!!!!
its because you don't have battery, you need to find them in maps
This makes having this cold not so bad.

So I've just installed this, and SDK 2013 Singleplayer, and I start up the game, click new game chapter 1, and I'm in the ship and there's no walls...then when I awake in the water and come up to the surface, there's no ladder, no dock, no island it's all like, invisible and not there, anyone else experience this, how do I fix it?
Sorry about that man! Try putting ae_fancy_surf_shaders 0 into console, then start a new game again.
Cheers. I just finished it and doing that worked! I also accidentally clicked the bury button when i was meant to click the + button on your comment and now it won't let me re-rate it so just ignore that :S The mod by the way is on a pedestal of almost unreachable excellence. Now I'm not going to lie, I want the next act NOW, but I know, greatness takes time.

I had a similar problem, except some of the objects you mentioned were visible for me, like the ladder. Was the table in the ship invisible in your case?
They were visible, but almost completely transparent. If I can remember, the table was invisible yes.
Tried playing around with some of the settings, and found setting shadow detail to High fixed it. (I have a habit of setting most of the graphics to low in advance)
