A high quality mod aimed to improve the base game of Soulstorm while also providing a new experience in how the game plays.
I've made an effort to implement ambient emitters into maps to generate background sounds without the use of an overall ambient track. These sounds have several catalogs of randomized audio tracks scattered into various areas of the map to give individual sections their own background audio. This can help flesh out levels better with terrain that contrasts widely from one another - sounds of waves crashing near beach areas, birds chirping in trees, frogs near pools of water and etc. All audio tracks are set to play one at a time so the level won't bombard the player with too many audio tracks in one instance and each one is set to a low priority so it won't overwrite the gunfire and other general combat sounds.
So relaxing.
My only concern is in an RTS everything else drowns out everything else but in this case its the small details..
Space frogs!
