It is by far the best rendition around of the limited images you see online, it does look less imperial than the rest but i like the retraction mechanic.
hello, i have a problem with the mod, i bought the gog versin of the game and installed the mod, the mod works and has worked fine for the first few days but after the audio has stopped working, the game (gog version the steama and cd version still works) doesn't play the audio and if i go on settings i cant eve tuch the audio setting because its black, unfortunatly i cant give you a screenshot because when i try to get one the only thing i get is a white screen, biut that is a windows 10 problem, can you help me, i alredy tried redownloading the mod and replace the audio files with the new ones, any idea on how to solve this problem?
I know it's appearing everywhere now but the Raider corvette could be a cool Maw research vessel. Give it a cloaking device and some powerful proton torpedo launchers so it can be like the submarine of Star Wars. Sneaks in cloaked, launches torpedoes and sneaks out or goes power to engines out of there.
These changes are wonderful, very streamline. I can't wait for these changes to come.
I also can't wait to take on those new space stations. They look amazing. Also if it's not too much trouble do you think it would be possible for the new research station to spawn a garrison to defend itself. Probably Tier 3 ships at the maximum.
It would be awesome to see them have a unique animation of them coming out of the station from a docking position like the Star Destroyer's you showed in the other concept picture.
I know it's more than likely improbable; but on a more hypothetical level would that even be possible with the game engine?
Maybe through some heavy scripting, but I'm not going to do that. It'll have a reasonable garrison, but the station itself has enough weapons to adequately defend itself without issues.

Nah, not specific and visually clear enough. People need to be able to see that the ion cannons are powerful, this is why Nebula has the large turret, unique firing sound, unique projectile particle and unique projectile impact. You have to smack the fact that this ship is for disabling other ships in their face because people are to stupid to understand it otherwise. The blue diver just doesn't have the "I disable starships" look to it.

The Legacy type used right now would look out of place. When you redo the Legacy SD, you should design it such that it better fits the style of the Nebula SD.

And it will look even better when you finish overhauling it, but i have a couple of questions with the "new" units, the MC80 with the deflector shield "looks" a bit overpowered because it has no shield hardpoint to destroy, the power to shields ability and your new glorious model has even more firepower than the one who is on the actual version of the mod, even if the hp is the same on both ships it looks like a BIG improvement for the rebels (at least on paper).
The vengeance will be only built on the Maw?, or they will still have access to the Mass driver version, I ask this because if you remove the standard one, the consortium will lose the almost only long range ship in their rooster (not counting the aggressor, who is built for heavy long range suppresion against BIG targets, and even then, it miss half of the shots..., Damm you Alamo engine...)
I believe that you have some kind of master plan for all of this ****, but i still have those 2 concerns
I actually only now just remember that it's called the Aggressor, not the Vengeance. The Vengeance will remain in place, the Aggressor will be moved up, is what I meant with the whole thing. Damn how did that pass me by lol.
Obviously the Maw versions of units will be a lot stronger than their standard counterparts, that's the point of them. The mod however is balanced around the non-maw units obviously, so if you can't get the Maw under your control you'll still be able to win, it'd be rediculous otherwise.
Thanks for answering J, although it could l be cool having a Beam Vengeance too, like some kind of ultra expensive long range anti frigate unit with low rate of fire and almost pinpoint accuracy, (and because beamz rules, no one could argue with that XD)
Also i remember the Arcus siege plattform costing a fortune on The old republic at war (9500?), so if you go this way too, i´ll have no complains.

I thought it would look out of place because of the aft of the ship. The image emphasizes the size of the venator-like engine block, something atypical of Rebel like ships. Plus it has a really large developed bridge. But nevermind you right, I concede.
The Nebula is just the perfect fit for the Maw. It's a highly advanced ship and much newer than the Legacy in the Star Wars timeline hence perfect for it being developed in an advanced research station. Why not make the Legacy the tier 5 and the Nebula the Maw ship. Nebula's advanced research could make it a longer range, more accurate heavy ion platform so it does the disabling role better than the Legacy plus it can have better speed and shielding to keep with that advanced research ship theme. Legacy has the firepower to always make it useful and still has heavy Ions that give it a chance against ISD's but they aren't longer range so it can't sit back and disable like the Nebula and it has to take fire.
This is answered in the picture, the nebula is the ship disabler. Without the ion cannon, it doesn't disable, and then we have no unique tier 5 warship, which means no tier 5 warship at all.
Against ISDs you don't want ion cannons, you want turbolasers. Imperial shields are ****, but their capital ship armor is some of the heaviest in the mod. Rebellion has the strongest shields, which is why pretty much all high level imperial and consortium ships don't have shield penetrating weapons, save a few here and there, the mod is balanced around the Rebellion having their shields.
And then there's the Kandosii, with its semi-nukes, being OP as usual. You can buy almost two mon cal cruisers for the cost of a single Kandosii though.
With the Legacy being the tier 5 you still keep it a unique Ion cannon ship thanks to those big turrets. Other option is the Recusant destroyer which has some massive cannons on the front that could be made heavy ion cannons. There's the smaller version or the 2.5+ km version that Grievous used in one of TCW episodes that makes it look more fitting for a tier 5. Basically I think the Nebula is a perfect fit for the Maw research ship, and sounds like you had the same thought at one point, so I am just throwing out ideas for a Rebel tier 5 to replace it that would keep the same role the Nebula currently serves. Nebula can keep its Ion cannon though personally I'd make it a long range heavy turbolaser so the tier 5 is an Ion disabler and knocks out the shields then the Nebula barrages the unshielded target from afar.

How about giving them the actual canon Mk 1 Starhawk class battleship.
It was built using parts scrapped from imperial star destroyers and it was a totally unique new republic/rebel ship. It had firepower that was more powerful then an imperial star destroyer and had a unique weapon a tractor beam that used magnite crystals which gave the tractor beam 10 times the power of a star destroyer. This tractor beam was used to destroy a star destroyer during the battle of Jaku.
The fact that it had such a powerful tractor beam could give you interesting options in how to use it or incorporate it which would make the ship unique. And it would give the rebels at least one powerful ship they could use.
And it looked like this, even the look of the ship fits with the rebels since it has the mon calamari design.
So I'm new to this mod and I was wondering what the supply crate upgrades do in the galactic conquest when I'm defending my space station and buying the upgrades?

No. I don't add units for the sake of adding units. It's uninspired and lazy, and I don't do either of those.
