This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
As many of you know I've been doing mostly commissions in the recent monthes, which is where people ask me to make a specific ship, I estimate how much time the project'll take me and how much that time is worth to me. They then pay me for my work and I make them what they wanted. Be it a Titan star destroyer, the Annihilator, Tycon station, or whatever. Since I take a lot of care in my modelling, and recently since I learned substance painter, texturing as well, these things can take quite a bit of time. I make sure everything is as good as I can make it, and this makes me both a very slow modeller as well as texturer, since I redo quite a lot of stuff if I'm not happy with it, but people also seem to think my work is worth the money.
I've recently had quite a few requests for the Executor. The 19KM long star dreadnought that was at the head of Deathsquadron. I've always said "No" to these commissions since they would take up so much of my free time that they'd actually interfere with my life, and I'd have to ask quite a bit of money for it to make up for the lost time that'd otherwise be spent on work that actually pays bills. But since there's been enough people that've inquired about the Executor commission that it's not impossible they could come up with the money required that'll allow me to put real life aside for the time it takes me to build the vessel, I'm putting this image here asking if there are people in the community willing to pitch in to allow me to do this.
Based on previous projects, I estimate I'll need atleast 80, very likely 100, and possibly 120+ hours to complete an Executor with the care and time I put into my other models. See this as a question from me to the community, is there any interest at all where people'd be willing to crowdfund an Executor for Empire at War as I would make it. I'll be actively responding to the comments below.
