Unfortunately no. Petroglyph has only updated the Steam version of the game. But that doesn't mean GOG can't get the newest version at some point in the future ;).
A Petroglyph developer gave this answer to a guy with the CD version. Sounds like they are at least considering the other versions.

Is it even possible to get the mod on the workshop without the proper memory?
Yeah, you'd just have to make it a part 1/2 type deal
He's talking about memory, not storage; EAW:RE needs 4GB of RAM available to run properly.
