Unfortunately no. Petroglyph has only updated the Steam version of the game. But that doesn't mean GOG can't get the newest version at some point in the future ;).

A Petroglyph developer gave this answer to a guy with the CD version. Sounds like they are at least considering the other versions.

(answer from VirtualTed:) I'm afraid we don't have access to the original code for the disc version, which is a big reason why we can't get a patch out for retail customers from 12 years ago. I'm still talking to the guys about it however.

He's talking about memory, not storage; EAW:RE needs 4GB of RAM available to run properly.
