A couple of days ago I spent an ungodly amount of time trying to make the Arc 170 look like an actual Arc 170. Lots of looking at Revenge of the Sith stills paid off, I'm very happy with how it turned out.
There's also a see-through cockpit glass, and a glow-in-the-dark cockpit interior.
I think the original model was made by Evillejedi, though I'm not entirely sure. Anyhow, credit to him for the base model, but I take full credit for making it look like the actual thing.
From a distance it's a little hard to see the changes but I guarantee almost the entire thing is new. View original to see the difference.
Some of the most notable changes: The ship's almost 25% slimmer, it's now got a rear turret, cockpit sizes are correct, engine and exhaust sizes are correct, the entire front has been remodelled, the underside of the ship has a section that is now more pronounced, as it was in the movie.
By "it's now got a rear turret" do you mean that it has an additional turret or it's now got a functional rear turret?
Seeing as the old one also has a rear turret on the model, I would assume that the new one has a functional turret.
The Arc 170 Fighter looks great. I love the transparent glass on the new model. Keep up the good work.
PS: The game makes a lot of fun :D
i don't know why but when i look at it the fighter's textures look like they were pulled straight from the original fallout. it may just be me, because i'm kind of hooked on the game
I'm sure EJ did indeed, pull the ARC 170 from Fallout.
