We still have some free releasesed content from YVaW in the mod but we plan to replace them as well.
Not that we think they are bad. They just have another texture style and it doesnt fit to our one.
I 'm interested in Substance Painter, how does that work, can i use to paind the 3d model and not like having the 3d model stripped on small 2d parts to be painted?

Looking good. Are there going to be laser cannons on those side pods? Looks like there could be 4 cannons in the movie. Would make this much better against fighters.
There are cannons on the side allready.
It has one additional rear turret which has a antifighter purpose :)

the supposedly used a shield wall tactic in battle. the group would form up in a line and lock overlapping*** shields to reduce damage while using the massive frontal cannons to lay down covering and devastating fields of fire.
a common tactic to take them out was to use lighting surprise strikes to remove this advantage
