would be interesting how you used the height map as mask! preped in photoshop? or just plain and simple imported as it came out an slotted in?

In art there is no such thing as inferior or superior.
(learned that in the Game Design University :P )
It´s all about the workflow.

I exported the height map and imported it back.
Then I slotted it in a fill layer as a bit map mask
then I added a levels to get the right values ...
Dude pls use Photoshop to do the mask there xD
Using the levels was a pain :P

ah ok, yeah using photoshop to make the different heights as layers crossed my mind when i first read your image description. ^^

Tried a cute new technique to colorize hull platings by using the exported
Height map as a mask.

Would love to know what you think about it.
