Eastern European crisis is a mod telling a story about the future of Europe. In 30's of XXI century, NATO power weakens, European economy deteriotates and ethnic tensions inside such countries as France, Britain and Germany rises. In this situation, Poland and Ukraine become once again one of the biggest economies, because of these countries stability and large deposits of shale gas, which boost their economic abilities.

Not as strong as Ukrainian T-84 or hi-tech as Polish Hussar tank, but comes in affordable price.

Not as strong as Ukrainian T-84?
Assuming that's a T-72BM, it should be an equal match.
well, T-72BM is a Cold War era piece of metal with no fire control system, while even a vanilla T-80UD (on which T-84 is based) outmatches T-72BM in every possible parameter.
Does not matter that much in combat. Both T-72's had excellent AP rounds to choose from that could easily incapacitate a M1A1 MBT, let alone a Rosomak WIFV which the Poles are dependant on in the mod.
Never underestimate the round caliber and type.
The BM upgrade features new fire control system including a gunner's thermal sight, "Nakidka" camouflage kit, new 125 mm 2A46M-5 main gun with muzzle reference system, V-92S2 1,000 hp diesel engine and new "Relikt" 3rd generation explosive reactive armor.
I'ed say that pretty much put the T-72BM on par with T-84.
you confuse the 1989 variant T-72BM and a more modern Russian 2006 T-72BM "Rogatka" which didn't enter mass production.

Gun and shells can be usable, but only if they hit the target, while T-84 can more accurately and from longer range hit its prey because of having a real thermal sight and fire control system. Plus don't forget the much more modern ERA on T-84 and basically a better armor layout of the T-80 family.
