ESF is a fast paced, 3rd person fighter based on the hit anime, Dragonball Z. Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.
As a follow-up to last week's play test videos Dalte has recorded some footage that shows off melee combinations that he and Darktooth have been working on. The footage has been taken from our latest internal build.

Also, a couple quick notes about the video
(buried)
Bleh. =/
problem?
(x^4 - 5x^3 + 17x^2 -12x + 44)/(sqrt(34x^2) - abs(57))

The function draws an angry face.
still can't believe this is GoldenSource, it looks amazing. So much progress has been made since 1.2.3, looks better than any Dragonball Z game I've seen. Keep up the good work!
looking forward to this. i hope its one big release as opposed to smaller ones. i think it would be more logical seeing as this is esf
im curious to know what the bars at the lower right hands side of the screen are.
Bonus system. Look @ melee system presentation video.
Moddb.com
so it looks like you guys keep showing more and more gameplay :) i hope you will release this year :)
I'm not sure if its just me. So please don't attack me if you do not hold the same opinion.
To me this game play video doesn't have as high graphical appearance as the screenshots.
it might be because video capturing takes quite a few resources. and they wanted to get max fps.
ah ok, thanks for the infomation.
other than that it looks really cool.
Voice in english : meh
HUD is way too huge too, well, this one is at least. Thankfully optional.
Ew, really? You want it in Japanese? (Unless you understand / speak Japanese, I understand)
Yeah I want it in japanese, but I don't talk japanese, it just definitely sounds better.
It sounds better? We have very different opinions on what sounds better. It's like playing Zelda without text and only seeing their mouths move.
Bad comparisson ^^
Besides while i havent played the latest 2 zelda games, i never noticed Links mouth moving for anything other than emotions ^^;
In any case its down to opinion. I myself preffer the japanese dub. I liked it more than the english one in the past, but the "over 9000" thing made me despise the english dub over the years.
**** Yeah love this game
please but PLEASE tell me this is not necesarly wanted for powerful computers
my com is 2800+ procesor 1gb of ram and 5500 nvidia geforce.will it work for me?
i just am a huge dbz fan and dont hav so much dbz games and i dont hav a ps2 or ps3 or anything like this either i played zeq2 but his melee sisitem sux
Dont think your graphics card can handle it im afraid.
Not sure about the processor, since having SSE2 is kinda more important than MHz ^^
Cant u make some video settings for the game? cause im shure not the only case.
Oh and another thing the beta worked perfectly for me.couldn't you make some settings or something like that to be similar to the beta?I mean to deactivate the bloom and things like that cause (no ofense pls)the zeq2 lite is more close for the animated series than esf 1.3(for the moment) and i had no problems
When(if) u make bots in this game be sure u hav a lockon because u cant find it and the time is short i mean ur goku vs vegeta and u just battled and u get separated dont let im disapear and another thing when u make the powerlevel be sure its realistic i mean i give 2 punches and i get huge powerlevel and my powerlevel for example its 40kk and his 3kk and he still hits me (sry if i bother)
We have GFX options, but what kinda kills the game off for you is the use of Shader Model 3.0
Your card does not support that im afraid. And we cant really revert back to Open Beta style, due to the fact that we pretty much recreated the game since then. The Open Beta used the standard HL1 map format and we plretty much changed 2 different map formats since then. Basically a core part of the game requires a feature your card doesnt support.
As for "anime" style. Cell shading isnt really that problematic for your GPU. So it doesnt really affect performance. Us not using it is mearly a design decision to stick to a semi-realistic Goaphics style.
Im not really sure what you mean the with lock on and powerlevel examples though.
ok thanks, but whats the minimal video system req?
man i hate so much my computer cant play that cant play that why is it maked?to refuse all games that i like?
