Dynamic Campaign Generator (DCG) is a mod for the game "Men of War" and some of its successors that randomly generates skirmish missions and lets you keep your surviving forces from one battle to another. Some people find this mod tricky to install the first time - please read the readme.txt carefully and ask for help (if you need it) on our forums here on this site, or at the game developer's site.

First of all, I thank you in advance for the great effort applied to carry out this program, in my humble opinion one of the best
The problem is simple, I start the game and the result is that I complete all the first options as requested by the program, but after starting the election of nations, it quits and says Error when starting (0x00007b) textconv.exe.
Respect for the required programs (XNA, C ++, etc.) I have them all in all their versions, check if they had errors in their .dll files with the aio-runtimes, verify the location (the one of steam), check the log and the problem It is an error reading the readings of the .icons.
I tried to delete the Textconv.exe from the external folder and the game started quietly but the problem is obviously that it doesn't load the theater of operations or its icons, check each of the errors in this forum and no solution worked. Finally, I have the game installed on another computer and it works perfectly without errors, the only thing that is different is the location of the file:
D\SteamLibrary\Men of War while the other is in C\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Men of War. I already tried to install it directly as C\SteamLibrary and it didn't work either. From Already Thanks (Sorry for my English I don't speak it)
I am looking forward to your response.

Sorry for the very late reply (I recently lost a family member and after that, I havent had the will to check the forums as much as I used to do).

If I understand you correctly, DCG and MoW do work correctly when you have them placed in D/SteamLibrary/etc?

You should avoid installing DCG (or other games) in your C/ProgramFiles folders due to the fact that Windows isnt keen on letting other software do changes to this area of your harddrive (it is a way for Windows to protect your system from being hacked, mailware installed etc) and that is most lilkey why you get the error (textconv.exe).

You can workaround the problem by setting the UAC in Windows to its lowest setting, but that isnt something that I recommend, unless you really do like to have a vulnerable system.

PS. I don't Speak French so don't worry about your English. I do however speak fluent Swedish if that is of any help... :) ).

my deepest condolences
I solved the problem in the end. I copied some .dll of System 32 and WOW64 from the computer where it worked... and the game went back to work normally. Thank you for taking the time and dedication of this project.
