Dynamic Campaign Generator (DCG) is a mod for the game "Men of War" and some of its successors that randomly generates skirmish missions and lets you keep your surviving forces from one battle to another. Some people find this mod tricky to install the first time - please read the readme.txt carefully and ask for help (if you need it) on our forums here on this site, or at the game developer's site.

So I've been having a hell of a time getting the DCG for CtA to work ever since a recent update. It would never recognize the saving of a mission, and I'd always have to restart the campaign to play. Only today did I figure out why I think it's happening.

The update changed the format of the saves from folders with files to packed files (.sav). So the DCG can't recognize them, and thus it never knows that the mission has been saved. How can I work around this?

Advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit- if it helps, the .sav files are an archive with the usual save files inside them.

2nd edit- So a temporary workaround is to extract the .sav files into a folder of the same name while the DCG is running. Then you can continue the campaign.

Could you explain that in a little bit more detail? What you meant by extracting the .sav files into a folder of the same name? I'm currently trying to just get this mod to work at all, but my Call to Arms game acts like it's not even there for the most part. I was highly confused when it came to the destination folder for the save game in the campaign.exe because, as you said, there are no folders anymore, only files.
