DREAM CASTERS' DUEL is an original, online, multi-player, UT2k4 mod. Dream Casters' Duel will combine elements of a telekinesis-fueled FPS with a barebones fighting game in a stylized, anime setting.

Also included in this press release are the weapons of DCD. As most of the action is hand-to-hand and/or “telekinetic”, weapons are of little concern. The guns themselves will only be wielded by summoned and secondary (un-lockable) characters.
Do to the necessity of multiple render passes per frame, cel-shading is a memory intensive process. In order to conserve system resources, the weapons are low-poly (under 800 triangles for the guns!) and all of the weapons pictured share a single 64x64 texture map.
I’ve gotten some questions regarding where DCD is at. Ppl wondering if I, the game, or both, are dead. To demonstrate the level of personal commitment to this game, I’m releasing the DCD art assets catalog. It documents the insane amount of work I’ve single-handedly accomplished (14 character models, 282 static meshes, 350 textures, and over 300 animations) and what little left there is to do. Output has slowed up a bit and will continue to be slow as I am currently working on the DCD narrative in parallel with the game. I’ll reveal exactly what that means shortly.
